About your Instructors

Dr Ali Hindi is an Assistant Professor at The University of Manchester and a NIHR SPCR Postdoctoral Fellow, serving as an Associate Editor at BMC JOPPPP and the founder of ResHub. As a collaborator with PaperPal, SciSpace, Julius AI, Jenni AI, and Bohrium, he brings extensive expertise in academic research and AI tool integration, guiding you through hands-on sessions with tools like Grok and PaperPal.

Shaymaa Abdulrazzaq is a PhD candidate in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology and is an experienced researcher with publications in pharmaceutical sciences. With skills in using AI tools for scientific writing, reviews, and idea generation, she offers deep scientific insight and practical AI application experience to enhance your research workflow during the workshop.

Together, Ali and Shaymaa will lead this interactive AI Workshop, providing expert guidance over 3 hours to help you master AI tools for academic success.

  • The workshop will cover potential issues like factual errors, biases, and ethical use with best practices, such as verifying AI outputs and treating it as a collaborative tool. Hands-on sessions will guide you on how to use these tools ethically.

  • This workshop stands out with its interactive, hands-on format, focusing on real-world applications of AI tools like Grok, PaperPal, and SciSpace. Group activities and tailored content based on your research area ensure relevance and engagement.

  • Yes, the strategies are adaptable across all fields. You’ll learn to customize AI tools for your research area during group exercises where you can apply them to your own research.

  • It’s up to you to inform us 48 hours before the event, as we have limited seats and often a waiting list. If you do so before the event, we can move you over to the next cohort.
